Photo Evidence
This photo was taken in October of 1958 by my Grandmother at the Old Frontier City Mine in Fontier City, Oklahoma. An image of what appears to be a miner was captured in this photograph. If you look closely, you will notice that you can see the background through what appears to be the jacket on this image. If this was simply a person walking by, this would not be possible. No photo editing software or computers where invented at this time. Some have advised that this could be a smudged image prior to the photo completely drying.
LEMP MANSION
Haunted History of the Lemp Mansion
Reports are as follows: Residents complained of ghostly knocks and phantom footsteps being heard throughout the house. Workers within the house often told stories of apparitions, strange sounds, vanishing tools, and a feeling of being watched. Frightened by the hauntings, many would leave the job site never to return. Since the restaurant opened, staff members have reported several strange experiences. Again, apparitions appear and then quickly vanish, voices and sounds come from nowhere, and glasses will often lift off the bar flying through the air by themselves. On other occasions, doors are said to lock and unlock by themselves, lights inexplicably turn on and off of their own free will, and the piano bar often plays when no one is near. Said to be haunted by several members of the Lemp family, there are three areas of the old mansion that have the most activity -- the stairway, the attic, and what the staff refers to as, the "Gates of Hell" in the basement. It is this area of the basement that used to be the entrance to the caves running below the mansion and the brewery. The attic is said to be haunted by William, Jr's illegitimate son, referred to only as the "Monkey Face Boy." This poor soul, born with Down's Syndrome, spent his entire life locked in the attic of the Lemp Mansion. Strange occurrences are often witnessed on this third floor level of the mansion. The face of the boy has regularly been seen from the street peeking from the small windows of the mansion. Ghost investigators have often left toys in the middle of his room, drawing a circle around them to see if the objects have been moved. Consistently, when they return the next day, the toys are found in another location. In the downstairs women's bathroom, which was once William, Jr's personal domain and held the first free standing shower in St. Louis, many women have reported a man peeking over the stall. On one such occasion, a woman emerged from the bathroom, returning to the bar and and stated to the two men she was there with: "I hope you got an eyeful!" However, the two men quickly denied ever having left the bar, for which the bartender verified. This ghost is said to be that of the womanizing William Jr. In William Lemp, Sr's room, guests have often reported hearing someone running up the stairs and kicking at the door. When William killed himself, William Jr was known to have ran up the stairs to his father's room and finding it locked began to kick the door in to get to his father. Several years ago a part time tour guide reported hearing the sounds of horses outside the the room where William Lemp, Sr had kept his office. However, when the tour guide looked through the window, nothing was there. This area, north of the mansion and now used as a parking lot, was once utilized as a tethering lot for horses.

THE OLD RECTORY
Haunted History of The Old Rectory
Reports are as follows: Father Francis Formez lived there from 59 years and is now believed to be the rectory's most active ghost. But if he lingers here, he does not do so alone. Monsignor Michael Driscoll was the next to live in the rectory, along with Father Bud Degrand. The rectory was closed in 1995 and has been undergoing renovations. It is listed today on the National Historic Register. It is considered one of Jacksonville's most historic sites -- and one of the most haunted! According to both legend and first-hand accounts, the apparitions of four of the rectory's former residents have been seen looking out the windows, reflected in mirrors, and lurking about the house. They are joined here by a phantom nun, whose identity remains unknown. Lights turn on and off by themselves, odd noises, cold winds blow through the house with the windows closed and odd aromas, like cooking food and men's cologne, are often experienced.

CHENEY MANSION
Haunted History of Cheney Mansion
Reports are as follows: The Cheney Mansion is located in Jerseyville Illinois. The building was originally started in 1827 and served as a tavern, a home, and an inn. This building, known as the "Red House" would be taken over by members of both the D'Arcy family and later through inheritance, the Cheney family. Both of these families had considerable wealth and added on to the Red House to build the mansion to its current majesty. A small vault in the cellar of the house has also been identified as a hiding spot for northern traveling slaves on the Underground Railroad. There are reports of multiple spirits possibly residing in the home. People have witnessed apparitions of adult men and women as well as the spirits of a child and that of a dog. Unusual sounds, temperature fluctuations, anomalous mists and strange shadows have all been reported in the mansion as well.

Page 27
Haunted History of the Morse Mill Hotel
Built originally in 1816, as 1 room house then expanded to what it is in the early 1800s by John Moore Master Bridge Engineer of his time. Jesse James and his Brothers stayed here, and registered their Marks unto the existing Register. They are known to associate with Mr. Moore, and that a lot of their actions could be traced to them stealing for the Confederate Army gain. One of them was a cartoonist, drawing in the register. Bertha Gifford lived, worked here-1st female serial killer in the Nation. She killed over 20 kids, and as well as many adults w Arsenic Chocolates for the kids. She worked at the Hotel, and is buried within walking distance. She was an exceptionally gifted cook, go figure! Al Capone used this as a meeting house, and for gambling. The Historians traced his movements to here at the time that he was building his gambling & whiskey operations. He served great Whiskey from here, some of which still exists on the shelves of local grandparents that say it never ran dry at the Morse Mill Hotel. It is also a undisputed fact that Police would never dare to enter this neck of the woods, knowing it was out of their reach. This place has been a private home, speakeasy, brothel ,half way house, Confederate Hospital, Underground Railroad, Indian Burial Site, Post Office, multiple murder scene spanning decades, & hangings. Reports of investigators being touched and scratched, objects moving, footsteps, evp's, loud bangs, black mists, coins materializing out of thin air, etc.

Continuous battery drain and equipment malfunctions were noted during the investiigation.
An EVP and KII session, produced what seemed to be direct communication with a spirit. Both KII and an Electrosmog meters were used at the same time with correlating readings. This continued for over an hour.
EVIDENCE THROWN OUT:
A shadow figure was seen by two female investigators in the kitchen outside the door at the bottom of the stairs on the first floor. Two male investigators went outside to scan the parimeter. No evidence was found of anyone lurking on the property. About 15 minutes later, investigators were conducting an EVP session in the basement when someone was seen walking outside the building. This person then knocked on the back door and began to play a harmonica. Because this happened shortly after the experience, it is thrown out as evidence due to the possibility of contamination.

Haunted History of the Thomas House
The Thomas House is located in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee. In the mid 1800s, word spread across the country that this small town had mineral waters that contained medicinal qualities. After this, this small town turned into a thriving community. It was perhaps best known for its luxurious hotels and bathhouses, which among the notables of famous people included President Woodrow Wilson who would spend his summers there. In the middle of all of this was the Cloyd Hotel which was built around 1890 by Henry Cloyd. This summer destination hot spot ended after World War II.
As time went on, many of the hotels closed and now only three of the originals remain. The Thomas family now own and operate the Cloyd hotel that they re-named the Thomas House Hotel. The hotel has had a great history of tragedy, including two fires. There are many spirits in the hotel inlcuding a former cook who still stays in the room he once lived in, a whistling man who walks the halls during the day, and another gentleman who stays by the front desk where guests check in. The last ghost is that of a little girl who died at the hotel when she was brought to the town for the healing waters. She is believed to run around the halls and knock on doors as she passes them to confuse the guests.

Haunted History of the Leonard Cave
A large cave, known by archaelological evidence to have been inhabited by Indians, is almost in the center of the Leonard Community. The cave and the community were called Leonard because it was on the farm owned by the Leonard family. The cave is still for the most part, unexplored. This is privately owned. In the 1920's two skeletons were unearthed and put in glass cases on display. Artifacts found in the graves establish that the Leonard Cave served as a burial grounds for the Indians. These skeletons are now located in the War Memorial Building in Nashville, Tennessee. In the 1930's the large room at the entrance to the cave was made into a combination dance and beer hall. It had a large volume of business for a year or so.
